Steve Kaneski is a businessman and entrepreneur. Steve has been working in the financial and insurance industry for close to 25 years. His passion is working with medical professionals and building relationships within the community. After undergraduate studies at Arizona State and obtaining his MSFS from American College, Steve embraced a 20+ year financial career beginning with a Securities firm, moving to the financial and insurance industry, eventually becoming the President of a major life insurance company in the U.S. and the highest producing agent out of 11,000 agents. His 2008 Presidency, led him to traveling and speaking at national events such as NAIFA and AALU. He spends countless hours mentoring new agents in the industry and helping them not only set up businesses, but achieve their long term goals. Steve is currently mentoring 3 agents in all aspects of their business, as well as instructing them on how to systematize their daily tasks and hire the right professionals to assist them. As a speaker Steve covers finances as they relate to the global realities, the social and political dimension and while having a critical view, always remains constructive. He fundamentally believes that finance is an essential part of the world we live in, reaching people and institutions alike. However, for him, the added value of finance to the economy and society is critical. Financial consultants are not just a means to personal enrichment, but must act responsibly toward the various constituencies they serve. As the financial crisis was nearing, Steve became increasingly critical of the optimism of bankers and authorities. After the Lehman collapse, he became a voice in the industry. He is frequently asked for comments and interviews and is a refreshing voice for many who do not comprehend the complexities of the financial markets. His voice uniquely combines factual and technical aspects and their more societal meaning and consequences. His experience of the regulatory and political dimensions of financial issues provides insight into the complexity of the “new” world of finance that is currently being structured by authorities. He regularly keeps in touch with and is often called for advice by industry leaders and executives of top companies. He strongly believes that while finance and politics are strongly connected, they are not structurally in conflict and need to find a way to cohabitate. As you may imagine, Steve is a busy man. When he is not working, he is spending time with his family hiking and skiing. Steve is a voracious reader and enjoys subjects involving politics, financial news and the history of the Civil War. He is actively involved with local charities such as Serotonin Surge, which benefit our local community health facilities. Steve is a self-proclaimed “foodie” and wine enthusiast and enjoys finding new restaurants and wineries all over the world. Most of all, Steve enjoys sharing his knowledge and stories of the fascinating people and places he has had the privilege of knowing and visiting.
